When Michael Browning Jr., Founder and CEO of Unleashed Brands, took the stage at the 2025 Dare to Dream Summit, he wasn’t just there as a business leader. He was there as a father, a friend, and a champion for children fighting one of life’s hardest battles — childhood cancer.

Hosted by what was formerly known as the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and now proudly known as Blood Cancer United, the Dare to Dream Summit brought together doctors, researchers, survivors, and partners all united under a shared goal: transforming treatment and care for kids facing blood cancer.

For Browning, the moment was deeply personal and profoundly aligned with the mission of the Unleashed Brands Foundation — to impact the lives of every child by creating fun, engaging, and inspiring experiences that help them become who they are destined to be.

A Personal Mission: Helping Families Who Are Fighting Big Battles

On stage, Browning shared a story that has shaped his heart for this cause.

“My wife and I walked alongside her best friend’s little boy, Beckett, who was diagnosed with leukemia at just two months old,” Browning shared. “We saw what that family went through — months in the hospital, uncertainty, and fear — but also moments of hope and community that we’ll never forget.”

That experience became a defining part of Browning’s mission — not just as the CEO of Unleashed Brands, but as the leader of a movement designed to help families thrive even in their hardest seasons.

“Every day, our teams interact with millions of kids across the country,” Browning said. “We see firsthand how much joy, courage, and potential they have. But being stewards of that next generation also means reaching down to help the kids who are fighting the toughest battles.”

The Unleashed Brands Foundation’s $1 Million Commitment

To reinforce that commitment, Browning announced that Unleashed Brands and the Unleashed Brands Foundation have pledged $1 million to support Blood Cancer United’s mission of transforming treatment and care for kids.

This contribution will help fund vital research, patient education, family support, and programs like Dare to Dream, which provide financial assistance, clinical trial access, and hope to families navigating the realities of blood cancer.

But financial support is just one piece of the partnership. Browning also emphasized the role Unleashed Brands plays in raising awareness — reaching millions of families every year through its youth enrichment platforms, which include Urban Air Adventure Park, The Little Gym, Snapology, Premier Martial Arts, Sylvan Learning, and more.

“We want families to know that we’re in their corner in a big way,” Browning said. “When you visit one of our locations, you’re not just coming to play, learn, or grow — you’re part of a community that cares deeply about helping children everywhere, including those fighting cancer.”

Inspiring Hope Through the Power of Play and Purpose

Unleashed Brands’ mission has always gone beyond business growth. It’s about building purpose-led brands that help kids celebrate, escape, connect, learn, and grow. The foundation takes that mission even further, ensuring that children facing life-threatening illnesses can still experience the joy of being kids.

From hospital visits to special events, from stuffed-animal donations to round-up fundraising campaigns, the foundation’s goal is simple: to help every child “dare to dream” again.

The Dare to Dream Summit — featuring partners like AMGEN, Valvoline, Subaru, and The Wawa Foundation — was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when mission-driven organizations come together.

Blood Cancer United’s new name reflects that same spirit of unity — uniting patients, families, researchers, and partners in the fight to eliminate childhood blood cancer once and for all.

“The work Blood Cancer United is doing is changing lives,” Browning said. “They’re helping kids get the treatments they need and giving families hope when they need it most. We’re honored to stand beside them and do our part.”
