SPRINGBORO, OHIO – On June 6, Class 101-Dayton was honored with the Outstanding Community Service Small Business Award by the Warren County Foundation at the prestigious 17th Annual Community Service Awards held at the Manor House in Mason.
The Unleashed Brands Foundation proudly acknowledges Class 101-Dayton’s dedication to community service and impactful initiatives that enrich the Springboro community. At the event, Steve Rudisill, Pastor of Summit United Methodist Church and a presenter, highlighted Class 101’s commitment to fostering student involvement in community service. He praised their efforts in organizing events such as the Springboro Optimist Avenue of Flags and assembling blankets for Honor Flight, as well as their ongoing support for local families through school supply and toy drives.
Owners Karen and Tony DeRosa, with the enthusiastic support of the Unleashed Brands Foundation, have played a pivotal role in enhancing educational opportunities and community welfare. The DeRosa’s have initiated scholarship programs benefiting organizations like the Springboro Orchestra Association, Daughters of the American Revolution, and Optimist International. Additionally, the DeRosa’s launched the Excellence is a Habit Scholarship Fund through the Warren County Foundation, which annually awards multiple scholarships to deserving graduating seniors.
Since opening in 2018, Class 101-Dayton has provided over $60,000 in pro bono college planning services to families in need, further solidifying their commitment to educational equity and community enrichment.
In a significant expansion of their community impact, Class 101 launched More Than One in 2024, a student-led initiative aimed at fostering a culture of service within local communities. This program engages students in monthly service projects, empowering them to make a tangible difference.
